The E.Z.N.A.® Poly-Gel DNA Extraction Kit provides a fast and efficient method to purify the single or double stranded DNA fragments from polyacrylamide gels. Following the PAGE, the DNA fragments are first visualised by UV shadowing or ethidium bromide staining. The gel slice containing the DNA bands of interest are cut and incubated with a special elution buffer to elute DNA from the gel. Polyacrylamide gel is efficiently removed with the poly-gel filter column. The sample contains are mixed with a special formulated buffer and loaded into the HiBind® DNA spin column. After two quick washing steps, purified DNA fragments can be eluted from HiBind® DNA spin column with low salt Elution Buffer or water. Purified DNA is ready for downstream applications such as sequencing, ligations, PCR amplification, and restriction enzyme digestion.
