Human recombinant Parkinson disease 2 (from E. coli)
E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase Parkin (PARK2) belongs to the RBR family and Parkin subfamily. PARK2 is expressed in the heart, testis, skeletal muscle, with high expression levels found in the brain including the substantianigra. PARK2 is a component of a multiprotein E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates the targeting of substrate proteins for proteasomal degradation. The mutations of gene encoding this protein will result in Parkinson disease and autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinson disease.
